در این تحقیق میزان تبخیر سالانه و ماهانه از دریاچه سد ساوه (الغدیر) توسط تعدادی از روشها و مدلهای معتبر و دقیق به مدت 13 سال (1386-1374) مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. نتایج حاصل، میزان تبخیر متوسط سالانه توسط روش بیلان آبی را حدود 155 سانتیمتر به دست میدهد. با در نظر گرفتن میانگین سالانه تبخیر 4/160 سانتیمتری برای دوره آماری توسط روش بیلان انرژی میتوان گفت حدود 49% تبخیر سالانه از مخزن سد ساوه فقط در سه ماهه فصل تابستان و تنها حدود 10% آن در فصل زمستان صورت میگیرد. مقدار میانگین تبخیر سالانه با استفاده از روش بیلان انرژی و توسط اندازه گیریهای تشتک تبخیر برای 13 سال آماری به ترتیب 6/156 و 2/282 میباشد که بدین ترتیب ضریب تشتک میانگین 56/0 برای منطقه حاصل میگردد. در مورد مقادیر تبخیر سالانه روشهای مختلف مورد استفاده در این تحقیق میتوان گفت که برای دوره آماری 13 ساله (1386-1374) تغییرات از مقدار حداقل 145 سانتیمتر (برای روش Debruin-Keijman) تا مقدار حداکثر 175 سانتیمتر برای روش CRLE آبهای کم عمق صورت گرفته است. به طور کلی میتوان گفت روشهایی از قبیل روش Mass transfer، Debruin، Penman، Makkink، Papadakis و Priestley-Taylor دارای میانگین مقدار ماهانه تبخیر تقریباً برابر با روش BREB میباشند. همچنین، علاوه بر مدل CRLE که صلاحیت آن برای محاسبه تبخیر از مخزن سد ساوه رد شد، روشهای Thornthwaite، Hamon و Ryan-Harleman نیز دارای انحراف زیادی در مقادیر میانگین و انحراف معیار اختلاف ماهانه نسبت به روش استاندارد مورد استفاده میباشند.
