[English]

In this study, the effect of ENSO on groundwater table changes of 22 piezometers wells located in Esfahan and Hormozgan provinces was evaluated. The results showed that from between 10 ENSO indexes, the maximum correlation of groundwater table of Esfahan and Hormozgan belonged to Pacific North American Index (NOI) andMultivariable Enso Index (MEI). So that, the percentage of wells that had significant correlation between groundwater table with MEI in Esfahan was 26% and in Hormozgan with NOI was 55 %. The comparison of correlation values of groundwater table in each province with El Nino aand La Nina phases indicated that the effect of El Nino phase on groundwater table in each two provinces was more than La Nina phase. As, in each two provinces, the number of stations with significant correlation in El Nino phase was more than La Nina phase. In Esfahan province, the effect of El Nino phase on groundwater table changes was more than Hormozgan province (64 % in contrast 36 %). The results of groundwater table changes percentage of each province in La Nina to El Nino phase illustrated that there was not similar and match behavior in study stations.
